About Narratives

Narratives is a bi-weekly newsletter about the practice and art of telling stories. As a twenty-something writer living in the midwest, my stories reflect the changing seasons, open land, heartbeat where my roots grow. I hope Narrative allows you to look into your own story and find your narrative within these online pages. In each issue, there will be an essay or a short story based on the stories I see around me. You’ll also find a mix of other things I’m into right now: recipes, books, music, and more. All of this will be sent to your inbox every other Thursday.

About Megan Elaine

I’m a storyteller and writer who lives in Indianapolis, IN. I write because I believe that the stories and truths of people and places need to be told so others can hear, connect, and learn with them. I’ve been writing for a long time. I’ve kept a journal since I was five, it was silver and covered in sparkles. I wrote myself through school and through college. I’ve been blogging for six years and within this time frame, newsletters have gotten increasingly popular. I’ve always wanted to give it a go, so instead of procrastinating any longer on the topic, I’ve decided to jump in and try to write constantly enough to put out a newsletter every other week. I can’t wait to share these stories with you and to get to know you better.
